Drywall
Drywall is the most commonly used interior finish providing a pleasant environment and ambience for most residential and commercial buildings. Drywall can also double as fire protection and sound proofing. It is fastened primarily with screws and glue, then taped, mudded and sanded. Drywall may look simple to do but achieving a silky finish is impossible without skilled workers. We offer a high standard of workmanship to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings. Drywall is also 100% recyclable and eco-friendly.
Texture
Textured ceilings are commonly found in residential buildings. We bring decades of experience in the application of RufTex, SpanTex, and Knock Down or Orange Peel finishes. A rustic, rough texture can also be applied to walls as a decorative finish. Matching up new texture to existing is one of our specialties. And of course a smooth painted ceiling is always an option by applying a Level 5 Finish.
Steel Framing
Steel stud framing provides an alternative to wood framing and is fire resistant. It is commonly used on commercial projects for interior walls. We specialize in Light gauge and structural framing. Accurately constructed we will meet the building code requirements for exterior and interior wall assemblies.
Insulation
We provide and install all kinds of insulation including batts, rigid, blown and Monoglass spray foam. Insulation is used primarily to separate areas of different temperature. The higher the R value of the insulation the more resistance it has to heat transfer. Vapour barriers are used to seal off the heated areas form unheated. This prevents warmer air from escaping and condensing onto colder surfaces which can cause mold, mildew and rot. Different kinds of insulation can also be used for noise reduction, sound proofing and fire protection. We keep up to date on all current building codes to make sure your project passes inspection the first time.
Suspended Ceilings
Mostly used in commercial projects, suspended ceilings are used to create a lower profile in a building to hide mechanical units. Within the grid framework ceiling tiles or different lighting options can be installed to produce the desired look.
These ceilings are usually suspended from the original concrete floor or ceiling above and can be adjusted with cables to any desired height. There are many different decorative design panels to choose from.
Service Department
Patching small holes created by accidents or due to needed access for electrical or plumbing repair work can be achieved easily by our skilled “touch up guy”. High traffic areas can get damaged but don’t need to be an eye sore. PWI has solutions for emergency and small size repairs that can make it look new again. We are also experts in texture repairs and transforming outdated ceilings to contemporary ones.
